Does your spa need inspecting?
The test is simple: can it hold more than 30cm of water? If the answer is yes, your spa needs a compliant barrier, registration with your local council and a certificate of barrier compliance every four years.
- In-ground spas, including spas built into a pool surround
- Freestanding and above-ground hot tubs
- Indoor spas used for recreation and relaxation
- Relocatable or portable spas
Indoor spa baths used for personal hygiene and emptied after each use are not covered, and neither are water features, fish ponds, bird baths or water tanks. If you’re unsure whether your spa is covered, call us and we will talk it through with you before you book.
Portable spas often catch owners by surprise. They must be registered if set up for three or more consecutive days.
